When most people ask the question “how do you become a good sales person”, they are looking for techniques, tricks and methods. But as Seth Godin points out, there’s no way of creating a sales technique that fits every prospect. Or even most. The best advice I was given was to listen. To listen and try to recognise the person you’re taking to. Listen to what they’re saying they want. Then you’ll be able to find the message that will communicate what you want them to hear.

Super advice, People often forget that good listening skills require concentration and focus. Been able to be an active listener sends out a powerful communication in itself.
