O2 Ireland redeems itself - Looking forward to 3G iPhone

I’m glad to see that O2 in Ireland will be offering the new 3G iPhone at decent prices as per Steve Jobs’ Keynote last Monday. Details on the press release via Silicon Republic.

Now if only they get rid of that 1gig cap on monthly data and we’re laughing.

Hi Conall, I’ve been looking at the O2 website and they don’t mention the 3G one yet, in the Specs for IPhone there is still has the EDGE engine, with the price of €299 for thr 8GB. Would you have the website where you see the prices for the 3G handsets ? Thanks.

    Hi Jason,

I saw the prices for the 3G handset in an article on Silicon Republic. Here’s the link: http://www.siliconrepublic.com/news/news.nv?storyid=single11235

It won’t be released until July the 11th and will start orders from the 1st of the month.

According to the article, it will be a lot cheaper than the original.

I agree, 1 gig is too small, you could eat that up in a day easily.
