Something that I stumbled upon yesterday (which I’m sure is very old news to anyone who bothered to check), interested me a measurable amount! It’s an open source office suite. Just as good as Microsoft but free! I like free things, especially if they work.. I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet so I can’t really say if it’s just as good but as soon as I get 10 minutes on front of my own pc at home, I’ll edit this with a verdict. The reason this came to light yesterday is because Microsoft announced that their next version of Office is going to move even farther towards a standard XML format across the whole suite, which means that there will be more interoperability between the office documents and other manufacturers office tools.
